“To raise new questions, new possibilities, to regard old problems from a new angle, requires creative imagination and marks real advance in science.” Albert Einstein

The core research topic at LRC is manufacturing, characterizing, and mechanical modeling of layered structures and materials for multifunctional purposes. Concurrent customization of structure and properties in materials is believed to be the new chapter in the manufacturing of multifunctional and lightweight materials.

The research results are expected to advance the manufacturing of lightweight and multifunctional materials in order to promote the concept of sustainability in engineering design and production.
